Happy May!

I can't believe it is May already! Where has the year gone?

We've been super busy in 1st grade and we have a busy month ahead as well!

Insects
Even though we've had our caterpillars for a few weeks now, we officially kicked off our insect unit yesterday! We shared our schema on insects and we sure do know a lot already. More exciting insect news...ALL of our caterpillars have made their chrysalis! We'll have butterflies very soon. Here are some pictures of how they've grown.

Fairy Tale Plays
This month will be all about fairy tales! We picked our plays and have started reading through them. Students have been assigned roles and will be bringing home scripts today. Our fairy tale plays will be performed on May 27th at 2:45 in the MPR. Mark your calendars and bring the whole family! Here is how the 1st grade teachers got the kiddos excited about performing!
