Authors are Teachers!

Wow! We have been busy working on becoming authors of teaching books. The last few weeks in writing we've been working extra hard on writing teaching books. These are informative books that teach the reader something new about a topic. First graders pick topics that they can teach other about. Sometimes it is tricky to pick a topic we know enough about to teach others but we have been doing a FABULOUS job!

We had a guest teacher who helped us add details to our pictures. We learned that pictures can teach the reader as well. Mrs. Scigouski came and taught us more about illustrations. It was such a treat to have her with us!
