We have read so many great books together as well. Today we talked about why reading makes us feel good and why we love to read. Some student responses include:

We worked so hard during read to self time today! We are building up our read to self stamina!
We started Writer's Workshop and talked about what writer's do. We started writing little books and will start our first writing genre unit (Small Moments) this week.
In math, we've been focusing a lot on ten frames and how they can help when we count, add and subtract.
